Otakon 07
July 19, 2007
Well, today we left for Otakon… FC! And her 'Oni-chan' picked me up around 11:30, picked up 'Pirate Chris' aka Capitan Jack Sparrow! Any way, they made a pit stop at McD's, but then we had to go back cuz Pirate Chris forgot his camera. –sigh-
…any way, from then on it was a pretty fast car ride from Hicksville to Baltimore…considering that I spent well over half the time reading, Alru spent it sleeping, and I don't know what Pirate Chris was doing, cuz I was too immersed in my book, and Chris was the one driving XD… the rest of us kind of fell asleep
me and alru woke up to this weird music, so we were like "WTF? lol" from then on, we were messing with FC!'s mind…. It was so damn funny… also, we kept seeing these white cars --- which scare the crap outta me now (2 long stories short: I was driving around my neighborhood with my friends, and this white sports car kept following me. I got really freaked out, sped up, pulled over, turned off the car and ducked down… they passed us which is good, but now I don't trust white cars. the other time when I was driving Alru and Saa-chan to go down to the beach, this guy in a white van was right up next to us, no matter how much I sped up, and he wasn't a cop! I went up to 80 and he was still following me, so I was like "well, fuck that." And I slowed down, and he moved on… but the freaky thing was was that he kept staring at me and Alru… I don't think he could see Saa cuz the back windows are tinted kind of dark, which is kind of against the law now in NY, and it's pretty recent… but this car was a hand me down, and it's a 1999 model.)
uh, crap… where was i? oh yeah, well, it was kind of uneventful… I think the funniest part was when we were discussing geography. Alru was planning to meet up Zoroko and oneoftwo, so we asked were they were from. She said somewhere down south, like Ohio, and I told her "Ohio is north of New York!", and then she called her up and left an incoherent voice-mail… all in all, me and her got pretty hyper and started bugging the shit out of Pirate Chris, cuz I wouldn't shut up about a donut. WHAT? I LOVE MY DONUT! DON'T DISS THE FUCKING DONUT!!!!! XD

well, after we found our hotel and checked in , we went to Arby's…cuz we were hungry…. After that, we went to pick up our badges from the 'Con site… and holy shit, this place is HUGE!!!!! I'm a new-comer to Otakon, so I was like O.o… and the line was fucking huge too! But it went surprisingly fast.. like we where there for no more than an hour, which is saying something. Unfortunately, we didn't run into any one we knew or were looking for. WillHenry wasn't there yet… she was still camping, cuz her family brought the RV down… Lou-Lou and Christa came by train and bus, which sucks for them, honestly
…
any way, now that alru's legal, we can FINALLY go into the Yaoi panels!!!! WoOT! That makes me a happy tomato….
We just finished playing the Wii that Chris brought down…. It was fun! They made a sign saying "OTAKON PEEPS!!! WE GOT THE WII!!!! YOU WANNA JOIN US, KNOCK OR SOMETHING!"…. and the freaky thing was, we saw a little Gara cosplayer, and it scared us briefly for a second, cuz we didn't really expect to see anyone out our door, even if they were just passing by…. They like stood there, and watched… it was kind of funny, actually.
Things are winding down for the first night, so I'm not going to write any more tonight, cuz it looks like nothin's gunna happen any time soon…. The door knob on the bathroom door doesn't work properly, though….

DAY 1 OF OTAKON: OPENING DAY July 21, 2007
ZOMG!!!!! Today was the opening day, and we got soooo much done in ONE DAY! We met Zoroko and her posse, after like, trying for an hour to find her. She said to look for Master Level Sora (I have no idea what that looks like, but it's yellow.) any way, we kind of found out what was keeping them; they were awesome Sora cosplayers… like, they were AMAZING! They looked like the real thing, their cosplay costumes were very intricate, and they said it took like 3 weeks non stop to make the clothes, but a while to make the keyblades. After that we chilled and walked around (or tried… every 20 feet someone wanted a picture of the Tri-Sora Group… then it became every 2 feet >.>….) then we met up with oneoftwo and they traded pictures… WOOT! For FC!
Me and alru walked around for a while, and one of us (I can't remember XD) spotted a hott Dante cosplayer… that made me happeeeehhhh!!!!!! After walking around more, we met up with Will Henry!!!! She gave us paintings!... we were like O.o Paintings?! I felt kind of bad, cuz she gave me something, and I didn't have anything to give her, so I drew her a thingy while I was waiting for Alru to get her HP book… after chilling with Will and taking pictures of BLEACH cosplayers, we parted, and looked for random places to go to… some how, me and alru found our way in to the dealer's room! And ZOMG! THIS PLACE IS HEAVEN!!!!!! It was amazing! Even though I-con will still always hold no.1 in my heart, this place was fucking awesome. We were like kids in candy land… she bought a huge, rare, BLEACH pillow, which I paid half for (even though I offered to pay for all of it) for her 18th birthday present, cuz I still kind of owed her one at the time, I think a wall scroll, and some other things! Oh! And we both found cuff earrings! We were estatic!! I bought 2 and she bought 1… hers are really pretty… mine are kind of plain, but that's oki, they're shiny >^^<… me likey shiny. The first thing I bought… omg we were looking at a Broadsword botique and I was looking at some blades… and I recognized a tip of a sword I knew, and I was like "OMG THIS HAS TO BE IT!!! And looked up towards the hilt, and it was Rebllion… I shelled out 70$ for it, and it's live steel so I was "GAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!! MINE!!!!!!!" I was a happy tomato. End of story. As soon as the guy handed the box to me, I was like 'raaaa death grip on my doom box'… the only thing, I had to leave the dealer's room and put the sword in like a car or hotel room… well, I couldn't put it in the hotel room, cuz it's like, miles away… and I didn't wan to leave the room yet, so I was walking around hugging the box, taking my time and looking at cool stuffs…. Hey, he didn't say I had to leave immediately! He just said I had to leave. And I did…like, an hour later. We were pretty much scoping out things… the first sword botique, the conversation pretty much went like this (stuff in italics means what I was thinking…)
Loeki-chan: "Excuse me, do you have any broad swords?"
Dude: "No, sorry… we only have Japanese style stuff,"
Loeki-chan: "Oh, well…. what would you say is your most expensive pricing?"
Dude: "Couple 'hundred."
Loeki-chan: " O.o what's your cheapest?" oh damn!
Dude: " maybe 70… around there…"
Loeki: "oh that's not that bad…" probably really cheap pieces of junk.
Dude: "well, you asked for the prices XD! Why do you want a broad sword any way? Why don't you want a Katana?"
Loeki-chan: "Cuz I already have one!"
Dude: "well, I bet you don't have any like ours!"
Loeki-chan: "that's true… but I know mine's cooler" ha! Cuz mine's real! It's from like, the end Meiji Era, biotch!
And then I walked away…. Cuz he sucked. And they were waaaaay over priced. After shopping, we went out the front, and we called Chris, so we could put our crap in the trunk of the car. After walking back, to the Center, me and alru walked to the mall, cuz we were hungry…. Yes, very exciting I know…. But they had really good sesame chicken, and like, these drinks that were like milk tea or something with 'pearls'… I had coconut. It was yummy… any way, that's not really important. What IS important, is that on our way back, by some dumb luck, we found artist ally!!!! We spent like, 30 minutes trying to find Dina Situ's "N" station (for those of you who don't know she's the creator of 'Pandect')… but during those 30 minutes, we stopped at Budgie's table (she's the partner of lone-momo in their 'FMA: Avatar' doj.) I recognized the three charries and I said ' hey! It's lone-momo's work!' and then she started talking to us…. Poor alru was so nervous after finding out who she was! It was so cute… after that we finally found Dina Situ…. I was thinking to myself "Alru… please PLEASE don't pass out from nervousness… otherwise, it'd be kind of awkward.' But she didn't and we chilled with Mom (Dina Situ) for a while, just talking. She still remembered Alru from when she watched her on dA and she was kind of surprised that Mom remembered. Alru drew her a Fleance sketch, and a Noah copic piece… then we bought stuff, cuz, we're cool like that. Alru bought: 5 pins, a Noah bookmark, the "No more Nightmares" of Edgar and Noah, and a Noah and Edgar plushie…. I just bought 2 pins and a Cherokee print, cuz Cherokee's awesome, and his eyes are pretty. After meeting Mom, we kind of just sat against the wall, cuz we were tired, and alru wanted to play with her plushies and make them have sechs. We met up with Chris, Ernie and Chris Chin… after chilling and eating, we kind of went our separate ways.. me and alru went to the Barnes and Noble so she can get the last book of HP and the boys went….somewhere. we talked to some people we met on the line to get the bracelets for the book (I'd rather not explain…)….oh! we met Christa and Nora there… they weren't on planning get the book like me… we were just there to party. We went up to the second floor and we met oneoftwo up there… there was an art contest and FC and oneoftwo were drawing… now, here's my favorite part of the night; I sat down infront of psycrowe, and when I learned it was her, I was like O.O fwaaaaaa!!!!! You're psycrowe!!!! That threw me for a loop… I thought she was just some random person… but it was one of my favorites on dA… go figure!.... nothing much happened after that… everything was just kind of… yeah… walk walk walk, sit talk…. Drink some starbucks… talk walk walk walk. Things got a little hectic when it became midnight. Alru had to wait about an hour to get her book before we could leave, because they were doing all the pre-registered book people first.
So, that's pretty much it for today….
Oh yeah, during the BLEACH photoshoot, Rengi made out with Hisagei AKA 69…and it was really REALLY nice. And the peacock guy made out with Ikakku… that was nice too. And there was a really nice Aquarian… I can't pronounce his name. uloquiora. I call him aquarian. Deal with it.

Day 2 into Day 3 of Otakon July 21-22 2007
Well, nothing really happened
we woke up at 10, cuz there wasn't really anything to do in the morning, that plus we were up until about 4 in the morning today… we were so tired that we became slap happy. We kept fucking around with ideas in the HP book and what not…and for some reason we just kept laughing…. Especially when Chris said, " Why do you have to read the book in order to know what happens? That's such BULL SHIT!" (he was discussing how you can know the story by reading the chapter titles…) and he said it so matter-o-factly, and we couldn't figure out why it was so funny.
So any way, when we got there, we went to the dealer's room and bought –coughstolecough- cool shit. Then I called up Will, so I could give her the drawing I did while waiting for Alru to get her book… I'll have to ask her to scan it in so I can put it up, cuz it's like a running joke between me alru and a few others that we know in real life. We then decided to randomly chill for a few hours, and me and Will watched Go-Devil-Dante flash videos while Alru read. Then we took Will shopping, cuz she loved our earrings and wanted some for herself. Then we went into Artist's Ally, were Alru met Tobii from dA and she bought like, 50$ worth of prints… We went to go sit back down, because our feet hurt XD… then RANDOMLY, oneoftwo and psycrowe sat down at our table because it was the only one free… oneoftwo was out of costume, and I can't blame her… it must be hot in those clothes… unfortunately, we didn't meet up with Zoroko and her posse… but we did keep bumping into this girl we met at the release of HP… it was kind of weird. Any way, after Will had left, we just sat in the Ally. Chris was playing with his DS, and then left, while alru read, and I drew. After that, we pretty much did nothing… we met up with Chris' friends, and decided where we were going to eat. We ended up eating at the ESPN-ZONE…. Good burgers, if I do say so myself.
NOW COMES THE FUN PART…
Alru and I walked around, looking for Ballroom II (we found it... yay for us) and we waited in line for the famous FOURCHAN PANEL!!!!one!!!!11 in all honesty, I did not know what the hell was going on… I just nodded and smiled. And lemme tell you, the line for this was fucking long. People started blowing up condoms and hitting them around them around the room along side of some balloons that said 'if you pop this balloon, you will get raped'… and they were yelling our chants and quoting '300', which was fun, cuz I got to scream in my man voice 'we dine in hell'.after that was the yaoi panel that we went to as well in the same room… and we saw this really REALLY PRETTY asian dude. We only stayed long enough for the pictures, cuz by that time is was like a little after a quarter to 1 am. And now, I go sleepy cuz I can't really seem to focus on the screen at the moment… I'll type more in the car ride on the way home, or at home, cuz my battery's dying and I don't feel like charging it, so there! XD

Well, the last day of Otakon, we went to artist ally to say bye bye to Mom (whom we saw cosplaying the day before as a sailor scout and today Itachi). We also went to the game room to play the BLEACH Wii game… I didn't want to play, cuz I don't really like the Wii… I'm used to using my fingers, not my arms XD any way… it looked really cool. Unfortunately, our expierience was ruined by this really obnoxious guy, whom me and alru really wanted hit wouldn't shut up. Alru almost turned around and slapped him with the remote, and I nearly bit his arm, because when I was observing, he put his hands no his waist, and his elbows nearly hit my face a few times. That plus he practically pushed me out of the way while I was watching, and he sat down and played before alru, and we were there first. He also established and enforced his own rule because he was 'bigger than all of us and could eat us', which was bullshit. All I needed to do was bite scratch, claw and beat his nuts repeatedly… if he had any. I was like, 'dude, hit puberty and go get laid.'. any way, his rule was if you win 5 rounds in a row, both you and the loser have to forfit the wii-mote. It's fair and all, but he wasn't an Otakon offical, and he had no right to become a dictator of something that was there for fun. He totally took the fun out of it. And alru was REALLY good at the game (cuz she's good at fighting games) and he said 'aw you just have beginner's stupidity'…. That did it in for us… we were like, 'shut the fuck up you asshole.'
On a lighter note!: I met up with Drea-le-fox!!! I got lost in the dealer's room trying to find her, but when I did I was like 'yay!!!! I found everyone I wanted to meet!' we hung out in the dealer's room for a bit, and then went to catch the Eminence concert… OMG IT WAS FUCKING AMAZING! They played the theme to Princess Mononoke, and it was so beautiful… at the 'official unoffical' end of the concert, they played the Mario theme songs. Oh yeah, the man known as Piano Squall was there! I was like WAHHHH!!!! Piano Squall! And the composer for the FF Tactics game was there too! Over all, it was a really good day. And more over a really good weekend… it was by far the most fun I've had in a while, despite the toe blisters and achy calf mucles… it was very awesome!
